This patch is a updated version of the original Nicolae Mihalache patch to cdrtools 1.11. The o_excl patch is inspired from the Harald Hoyer one to open device in exclusive mode. You will find on this page the last updated version (currently cdrtools 2.01.01a04) as well as some Mandrakelinux packages. On redhat system, as far as I know the dvdrtools project is based on the same patch (but only for cdrecord 1.11). Note that the OSS DVD extension has also now merged my updates such as the DVD+R burning and speed selection.

It has been reported as working on the following DVD burners:

some troubles with certain media.

- scanbus: do not exit if a /dev/hdX cannot be opened as user in scanbus mode.
